Why are Christians Turning to Buddhism?

Six Examples by Jay McDaniel

A small but growing number Christians in the West are turning to Buddhism for spiritual guidance. Many are reading books about Buddhism, and some are also meditating, participating in Buddhist retreats, and studying under Buddhist teachers. They are drawn to Buddhism’s emphasis on “being present” in the present moment; to its recognition of the interconnectedness of all things; to its emphasis on non-violence; to its appreciation of a world beyond words, and to its provision of practical means — namely meditation — for growing in one’s capacities for wise and compassionate living in daily life. As they learn from Buddhism, they do not abandon Christianity. Their hope is that Buddhism can help them become better Christians. They are Christians influenced by Buddhism.

1. Julia is typical of one kind of Christian influenced by Buddhism. She is a hospice worker in New York who, as a Benedictine sister, turns to Buddhism “to become a better listener and to become more patient.” As a student of Zen she has been practicing zazen for twenty years under the inspiration of the Vietnamese Zen teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, whose book Living Buddha/Living Christ gave her new eyes for Christ, proposing that Jesus himself was “mindful in the present moment.” She practices meditation in order to deepen her own capacities for mindfulness, particularly as it might help her be more effective in her life’s calling. As a hospice worker she feels called to listen to dying people, quietly and without judgment, as a way of extending the healing ministry of Christ. Like many people in consumer society, she sometimes finds herself too hurried and distracted, too caught up in her own concerns, to be present to others in patient and healing ways. She turns to Zen practice because it has helped her become more patient and attentive in her capacities to be available to people in a spirit of compassion.

From Julia’s perspective, “being present” to people in a compassionate way is a spiritual practice in its own right. She calls this attention “practicing the presence of God,” and she believes that this listening participates in a deeper Listening – an all-inclusive Love — whom she calls God, and whom she believes is everywhere at once. She turns to Zen meditation, then, not to escape the world, but to help her drawn closer to the very God whose face she sees in people in need, and to help her become gentler and more attentive in her own capacities for listening. In her words: “I hope that my Zen practice has helped me become a better Christian.”

2. John, too, is a Christian who practices meditation, but for different reasons. He suffers from chronic back pain from a car accident several years ago. He has turned to meditation as a way of coping more creatively with his pain. “The pain doesn’t go away,” he says, but it’s so much worse when I fight it. Meditation has helped me live with the pain, instead of fighting it all the time.” When people see John, they note that he seems a little more at peace, and a little more joyful, than he used to seem. Not that everything is perfect. He has his bad days and his good days. Still, he finds solace in the fact that, even on the bad days, he can “take a deep breath” and feel a little more control in his life.

When John is asked to reflect on the relation between his meditation practice and Christianity, he reminds his questioner that that the very word Spirit is connected to the Hebrew word ruach, which means breathing. John sees physical breathing—the kind that we do each moment of our lives–as a portable icon for a deeper Breathing, divine in nature, which supports us in all circumstances, painful and pleasant, and which allows us to face suffering, our own and that of others, with courage. “Buddhism has helped me find strength in times of pain; it has helped me find God’s Breathing.”

3. Sheila is an advertising agent in Detroit who turns to Buddhism for a different reason. She does not practice meditation and is temperamentally very active and busy. But over the years her busyness has become a compulsion and she now risks losing her husband and children, because she never has time for her family. As she explains: “Almost all of my daily life has been absorbed with selling products, making money, and manipulating other people’s desires. Somewhere in the process I have forgotten what was most important to me: helping others, being with friends and family, and appreciating the simple beauties of life. Buddhism speaks to my deeper side.”

When Sheila reflects on the relationship between Buddhism and Christianity, she thinks about the lifestyle and values of Jesus. She recognizes that Jesus himself had little interest in appearance, affluence, and marketable achievement, and that he was deeply critical of the very idea that “amassing wealth” should be a central organizing principle of life. She doubts that Jesus would approve of the business culture in which she is immersed, in which the accumulation of wealth seems to be the inordinate concern. For her, then, Buddhism invites her to rethink the values by which she lives and to turn to values that are closer to the true teachings of Christ. “I find this simpler way challenging,” she says, “but also hopeful. I hope that Buddhism can help me have the courage to follow Christ more truly.

4. Robert is an unemployed social worker in Texas, who feels unworthy of respect because he does not have a salaried job like so many of his friends. He, too, has been reading books on Buddhism, “Most people identify with their jobs,” he says, “but I don’t have one. Sometimes I feel like a nothing, a nobody. Sometimes I feel like it is only at church, and sometimes not even there, that I count for anything.”

Robert turns to Buddhism as a complement to the kind of support he seeks to find, but sometimes doesn’t find, in Christianity. Buddhism tells him that his real identity—his true self, as Buddhists put it—lies more in the kindness he extends to others, and to himself, than in the making money and amassing wealth. Like Sheila, he sees this as connected with the teachings of Jesus. “Jesus tells me that I am made in the image of God; Buddhism tells me that I possess the Buddha-Nature. I don’t care what name you use, but somehow you need to know that you are more than money and wealth.”

5. Jane is a practicing physicist who works at a laboratory in Maryland who goes to a local Methodist church regularly. For her, a religious orientation must “make sense” intellectually, even as it also appeals to a more affective side of life, as discovered in personal relations, music, and the natural world. But she also finds God in science and in scientific ways of understanding the world. She is troubled that, too often, the atmosphere of church seems to discourage, rather than encourage, the spirit of enquiry and questioning that are so important in the scientific life. Jane appreciates the fact that, in Buddhism as she understands it, this spirit is encouraged.

This non-dogmatic approach, in which even religious convictions can be subject to revision, inspires her. In her words: “I plan to remain a Christian and stay with my Methodist church, but I want to learn more about Buddhism. I sense that its approach to life can help me see the spiritual dimensions of doubt and inquiry and help me integrate religion and science.

6. Sandra is a Roman Catholic nun in Missouri who leads a retreat center. Twelve months a year she leads retreats for Christians, Catholic and non-Catholic, who wish to recover the more contemplative traditions of their prayer life and enter more deeply into their interior journey with God. At her workshops she offers spiritual guidance and introduces participants to many of the mystics of the Christian tradition: John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, Meister Eckhart, Hildegard of Bingen. Even as she does this, she herself is on the very journey to God, and she makes this clear to people who come her way.

Sandra turns to Buddhism because she believes that its teaching of no-ego or no-self, when understood experientially and not just intellectually, is itself an essential dimension of the journey to God. She sees this teaching as complementary to, and yet enriching, the teaching of “death and resurrection” that is at the heart of Christian faith. In her words: “Christianity and Buddhism agree that the spiritual pilgrimage involves an absolute letting go, or dropping away, of all that a person knows of self and God. Indeed, this is what happened in Jesus as he lay dying on the cross, and perhaps at many moments leading up to the cross. Only after the dying can new life emerge, in which there is in some sense ‘only God’ and no more ‘me.’ I see the cross as symbolizing this dying of self and resurrecting of new life that must occur within each of us. Buddhism helps me enter into that dying of self.”

As you listen to their stories, perhaps you hear your own desires in some of them? If so, you have undertaken an empathy experiment. You need not be “Christian” or “Buddhist” to do this. There is something to learn from them even if you are not religious at all. Don’t we all need to live by dying? Don’t we all need to listen better? Don’t we all need to inquire and seek truth? There is something deeply human in their searching, and deeply human in our willingness to learn from them, even if we don’t share their faith. And even if we do.

Do We Skip Over 4D?

 Do We Skip Over 4D?

by Gregg Prescott, M.S.
Founder & Webmaster, In5D.com

Did you ever wonder why everyone is saying that we’re going to 5D?  What happened to 4D and what is it?

A lot of people are curious about why we seem to be skipping over the fourth dimension.  It becomes easier to see when we examine the first three dimensions.

The first dimension can be envisioned as a simple line with no definitive length.

The second dimension is the length of that particular line.

The third dimension is the depth of the line.  If the line is actually a tube, this would give the line dimension.  This is also why we have 3D glasses, which bring movies out of 2D and into 3D.

The fourth dimension is time and more specifically, space/time, which is nonlinear.  In the above example, you could look at what length of time that the tube existed.  But this version of time is a construct of a 3rd dimensional reality, which places limitations on time.  For example, a day is 24 hours long and a year is 365 days.

Yet our version of 3rd dimensional time coexists with nonlinear time and we go there every night when we sleep!

How is this possible?

RelatedThe Time is Speeding Up Phenomenon is Preparing You for 5D

When you dream, do you ever see a clock or truly know what the exact time is when you are dreaming?

In our dream state as well as in a deep, meditative state, we enter nonlinear time where time does not exist as we know it in our 3rd dimensional reality.

Here is an actual example:

I have a rare sleep anomaly where I immediately go into the dream state and stay there all night long.  There have been times where I might be sitting on a couch and starting to doze off.  By the time my chin hits my chest, I’ve already had a dream that seemed like it lasted for several hours.

Upon researching the tomb of the Mayan King, Lord Pacal, the late Jose Arguelles stated that Pacal’s message to humanity is that we need to live without “manmade” time as much as possible.  You can do this by not wearing a watch or having any calendars visible.  On your days off, you can listen to your body when it tells you to sleep or awaken.

RelatedEdgar Cayce: The Earth Is Catching Up With Time

By removing manmade time, you can escape from the constructs that bind us to a 3rd dimensional reality.

Currently, we’re merging 3D with 4D, which explains why manifestations are happening more frequently and on a quicker basis. Additionally, we’re seeing INSTANT KARMA, so be very careful where you place your thoughts and intentions!!!

The 5th dimension is where thoughts become instant manifestations, so this is why it is so important to remove all fear related propaganda from your daily schedule.

Our thoughts are much more powerful than we know.  This is why television “programming” pushes fear propaganda to keep our minds in that lower vibration.

The more you raise your own, personal vibration, the more we all benefit as this transition occurs.

Simply believing that this is possible changes alternate realities and parallel universes.

My guides want me to share the following far and wide.  I can’t say it enough or emphasize how important these 5 thin gs are:

1.  LOVE

2. Express GRATITUDE

3. FORGIVE

4. Maintain a HIGH VIBRATION

5. GROUND yourself

You’ll see people in this genre who are miserable and carry a low vibration. From what I’ve seen, they all have one thing in common.  THEY DON’T GROUND THEMSELVES!

Enjoy and connect with nature. Try doing a “Walk of Gratitude” or a “Love Bubble Meditation“.

This is what I say on my “Walk of Gratitude”

Feel free to use it and/or change it however you like!

I talk about a lot of current things we’re all experiencing in this field such as timeline convergences, energy updates, sleep anomalies, etc… on my In5D Facebook Live shows.

The Spiritual Meaning of Colors

The Spiritual Meaning Of Colors in5d in 5d in5d.com www.in5d.com http://in5d.com/ body mind soul spirit BodyMindSoulSpirit.com http://bodymindsoulspirit.com/

Why are we attracted to specific colors and what do they spiritually mean?

Visible Light Frequencies

According to David Icke, we are only capable of seeing a limited range of colors and we are unable to see the frequency range beyond visible light.  Icke believes that certain races of extraterrestrial beings called Reptilians operate on a different frequency outside visible light and manipulate our current reality through Illuminati families.

Colors Beyond The Veil

Through Near Death Experiences, we have heard numerous times about people who temporarily passed on to the other side and upon their return, have stated that they saw various indescribable colors that we are unable to see within our current light frequency.

Photoreceptor Cells

Many people believe that dogs can only see in black and white, but  the truth is, they can see limited colors as they only have approximately 20% of the cone photoreceptor cells that humans have. Photoreceptor cells are the part of the eye that controls our perception of color.

Our bodies have seven energy receptors of life force and prana called chakras. Each chakra vibrates and responds to a different color. The word, chakra, is Sanskrit and means "wheel" or "turning, but in yogic context, chakra means 'vortex' or 'whirlpool'.

Chakras

Our bodies have seven energy receptors of life force and prana called chakras.  Each chakra vibrates and responds to a different color.  The word, chakra, is Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “turning, but in yogic context, chakra means ‘vortex’ or ‘whirlpool’.

In her book, True Balance, by Sonia Choquette, she mentions how to use the color green if you are sad or depressed.  A non-spiritual description of this color is often associated with envy (as in green with envy) but Choquette advises to go outside in nature and observe all of the ‘green’ around you because through nature and the predominance of the color green, it will lift your spirits.

When the heart center is balanced, we actually establish energetic resonance with others, entering into a common vibration. We’ve all had these spontaneous heart-based connections, such as when we encounter someone we instantly like or feel as though we’ve known in the past. The Universe is a hologram aware of all of its parts at all times, and when we move into our heart chakra, we shift into this holographic vibration. This allows the Universe to fill any void that we may be experiencing in our life, giving us exactly what we need, bringing us our heart’s desire.

– Sonia Choquette, from her book, True Balance

Your lower three chakras govern your physical drives and urges in this 3rd dimensional reality while the upper four chakras are more spiritual in5d in 5d in5d.com www.in5d.com http://in5d.com/ body mind soul spirit BodyMindSoulSpirit.com http://bodymindsoulspirit.com/

Your lower three chakras govern your physical drives and urges in this 3rd dimensional reality while the upper four chakras are more spiritual

in nature.  In order to clearly access the upper four chakras, one needs to work on his or her lower three chakras through ‘chakra clearing’.

I have several Himalayan Salt Lamps which exude an orangish-yellow color and help to keep my lower chakras in balance while eliminating negative ions within a specific range of my lamps.  My daughter has a slight case of asthma which is immediately eradicated when she’s near her Himalayan salt lamp. When lit, the color of the Himalayan Salt Lamp strongly resonates with your sacral and solar plexus chakras.

Honoring The Elements

Many indigenous cultures not only honor all aspects of life, but directions as well.  Each direction of north, south, east and west have a corresponding element and color:

Honoring The Elements

The following is an excerpt from by Lee Brown at the 1986 Continental Indigenous Council:

There was the cycle of the mineral, the rock. There was the cycle of the plant. And now we re in the cycle of the animal coming to the end of that and beginning the cycle of the human being. When we get into the cycle of the human being, the highest and greatest powers that we have will be released to us. They will be released from that light or soul that we carry to the mind. But right now we’re coming to the end of the animal cycle and we have investigated ourselves and learned what it is to be like an animal on this earth.

At the beginning of this cycle of time, long ago, the Great Spirit came down and He made an appearance and He gathered the peoples of this earth together they say on an island which is now beneath the water and He said to the human beings, “I’m going to send you to four directions and over time I’m going to change you to four colors, but I’m going to give you some teachings and you will call these the Original Teachings and when you come back together with each other you will share these so that you can live and have peace on earth, and a great civilization will come about.” And he said “During the cycle of time I’m going to give each of you two stone tablets. When I give you those stone tablets, don’t cast those upon the ground. If any of the brothers and sisters of the four directions and the four colors cast their tablets on the ground, not only, will human beings have a hard time, but almost the earth itself will die.”

And so he gave each of us a responsibility and we call that the Guardianship. To the Indian people, the red people, he gave the Guardianship of the earth. We were to learn during this cycle of time the teachings of the earth, the plants that grow from the earth, the foods that you can eat, and the herbs that are healing so that when we came back together with the other brothers and sisters we could share this knowledge with them. Something good was to happen on the earth.

To the South, he gave the yellow race of people the Guardianship of the wind. They were to learn about the sky and breathing and how to take that within ourselves for spiritual advancement. They were to share that with is at this time.

To the West He gave the black race of people the Guardianship of the water. They were to learn the teachings of the water which is the chief of the elements, being the most humble and the most powerful. When I went to the University of Washington and I learned that it was a black man that discovered blood plasma, it didn’t surprise me because blood is water and the elders already told me the black people would bring the teachings of the water.

To the North He gave the white race of people the Guardianship of the fire. If you look at the center of many of the things they do you will find the fire. They say a light bulb is the white man’s fire. If you look at the center of a car you will find a spark. If you look at the center of the airplane and the train you will find the fire. The fire consumes, and also moves. This is why it was the white brothers and sisters who began to move upon the face of the earth and reunite us as a human family.

Crystals and Gemstones

Certain colored gemstones and crystals have specific properties and benefits, many of which align to either your chakras or to similar descriptive benefits as the candle colors:

Crystals and Gemstones

Auras

While some people may be able to pass a lie detector test, your aura will never lie. According to wiki, the aura is “a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person”.

The colors of your inner aura reflect the same colors as your chakras.  For example, if your inner aura is red, orange or yellow, it shows that there are some physical, mental or sexual areas in your life that need addressing. I write a lot more about his in the article, “How to See Your Aura: Tips and Tricks!“.

Once your lower root chakras are balanced, you’ll begin seeing an aura that will be green, blue, indigo or violet, which correspond to the heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown chakra.  While many people will have differing opinions on the ideal aura color, it is this writer’s opinion that green shows the most balance.  Please keep in mind that there are no “bad” aura colors as each color has a lesson to teach us about ourselves.

Once you’re able to see your inner aura, you can train yourself to see your outer aura.  For more information on how to do this, please read, “How To See Your Inner And Outer Auras“.

The colors you use in every day life, whether they are in the clothes you’re wearing right now, the color of your car or even the color you painted your walls, can tell a lot about you.

Doubting Your Spiritual Experiences

Doubting Yourself And Your Spiritual Experiences?

by Souful Toz,
Guest writer, In5D.com

There is something about us lightworker’s that makes us continuously stall. Continuously worry, doubt, fear and re-think what our gut is telling us. Has this been your experience? If so, lets all put down our tarot cards and astrological charts and see where the answers lie; within our bodies.

Sensitive beings will always take in from this world more than they can handle. It happens at a young age, everyone’s facial expressions immediately made us feel bad or good about ourselves. Eye rolls, opinions, criticisms, judgments hurt us more than any other physical pain. We took on everyone’s feelings. This made us want to always make the people around us feel good and happy. We became externally focused to such a degree that our own internal guidance systems were cut off from being valid, worthy or even relevant. What does that mean for us now? We do not trust ourselves.

Doubting your spiritual experiences and Doubting your decisions are the most common categories I see in my clients, myself and in the collective. Doubt is not believing that your opinions, your feelings, your experiences and the information you have is enough to get clarity.

Doubting Your Spiritual Experiences

We have all been there. Something intensely magical and transformational has swept through our consciousness. Moving experiences of a transcendental nature. Dark nights of the soul that have began to spill over all of our darkest and scariest aspects. We go through these shifts and when they have just slipped away far enough into our memory we begin to doubt. People begin to ask questions. You cannot find the right words to explain. Eyebrows get raised. You wake up and feel like you never did awaken, that it was all a dream. What a fool to think that you were on a beautiful human evolutionary train that was beginning to awaken all planetary consciousness. The download’s you received must have been your imagination. You want to crawl back under your covers and you begin to Google your ascension symptoms and think instead that you have a severe illness.

The first step is to understand that this is a given in the awakening journey. You are going to doubt yourself, and that is OKAY. It is all a part of the process of unraveling your deep layers of unworthiness to give rise to the self-assured powerful being that you are. The second step is to keep a journal, a record. Every time you wonder whether what is going on is real, you will have enough evidence to quiet down those voices. Figure out what your patterns are, what is the usual road you go down when you think you are crazy. Do you believe you are sick? Have a mental illness? Do you think you just dreamed it? It was just a phase? Are you comparing your experiences to others and feeling like yours wasn’t ‘spiritual enough’? Just bringing this into awareness is what will make you pin point it and softly reassure yourself that this is what happens when another layer of doubt is burning away.

Doubting Your Decisions

Going around in the roundabout of making a decision: tossing and turning, backing away, seeking external opinions, shutting down and going back to square one is a cycle many of us have been on since the awakening. It seems that now we have more to consider and more that is on the line. Are we making the right choice? Should I stay with this person? How will I make money if I do that? Should I be pursuing that? There are a million hours in each of our lives spent on this crossroad. We stand paralyzed and frozen, hoping for a spirit guide to throw us a life raft. We wait for clarity, and clarity doesn’t come. That is because we aren’t meant to wait. We are meant to feel what the decision makes us feel like within our cells, our hearts, our bones, our ovaries. Based on that feedback, we either go in the direction of it or in the direction of something else. Movement, not stagnancy. The only way to get the energy flowing is to move ahead and clarity can come and go when it needs to but it is not a requisite for us to begin leading the lives we want to live.

I want you to visualize the decision you are weighing up. I want you to feel if it feels one of three things within: Right, Wrong or Fear. If it is fear, you move in the direction of it because you know the doubt is only coming from an old wound, an aspect of you frozen in time. If it is wrong, you move away and if it is right you leap off that cliff. The second thing to do is to imagine everyone around you was accepting of your choice, does that make you feel better? Then you know that the judgments of others was weighing heavy on you and putting pressure on your decision making. Part of learning to trust ourselves comes from separating the noise of everyone else’s expectations.

There is absolutely no way to get it wrong. There is no way to fail at life, every ‘failure’ puts you on a new path that leads somewhere else. Just go, move and walk forward. Get the energy moving and don’t wait a second longer to get more clarity. Move from this point on with the knowing that you are moving in the direction of building self trust and that one day, your faith in your body and your soul’s deepest wisdom will come naturally to you. You have nothing to fear, you already know the answer.

What Every Empath Will Try And Hide From You

Have you ever just known when someone you cared about needed you? Maybe it was the way they said hello, or maybe they sent you a text that just didn’t sit well with you. Have you ever been called ‘too sensitive’, and not sure how that could be a bad thing? Chances are you may be an empath.

What Is An Empath?

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. Empathy can be defined as someone’s ability to recognize and share the emotions of another person. They see someone else’s situation from their perspective and share their emotions, including their possible distress. An empath is a person who fits this criteria and recognizes it in themselves [1].

This is not to be confused with sympathy, or someone who is sympathetic towards others. Sympathy, in short, is a feeling of care and concern for someone, often someone close, accompanied by a wish to see him better off or happier [1].

Empaths are people who’re high on the empathic spectrum and can feel other people’s emotions in their own bodies. As a result, empaths can have incredible compassion for people—but they run the risk of being exhausted by feeling “too much”, a problem that is very difficult to overcome.

There is some evidence that backs up the belief of empaths and how deeply they can feel. Researchers have discovered a specialized group of brain cells that are responsible for empathy. These cells enable everyone to mirror emotions, to share another person’s pain, fear, or joy, and empaths are believed to have hyper-sensitive mirror neurons that allow them to deeply resonate with other people’s feelings [2].

How To Recognize An Empath

If you’re still unsure if someone you know, or if even you yourself are an empath, there are a few common traits that you can look out for that are shared by most empaths [3].

1. Sensitivity

Empaths are natural healers and feel that they need to appear strong for those around them. They also don’t want to be an inconvenience to others, so they hide their own emotions and the fact that they are hypersensitive.

2. They Absorb Emotions

Empaths absorb emotions; if you’re feeling low chances are they are as well. To a certain degree, they are able to literally feel the pain of others.

3. They’re Introverted

Since empaths are so in-tune with the emotions of others, sometimes their only respite is being alone. To avoid drawing suspicion or being rude, they are often extroverted introverts or introverts that partake in extrovert activities.

4. They Heal With Nature

If you or someone you know loves to be in nature, they may just be an empath. Empaths relish any time spent in nature, and will take any opportunity to be outdoors. Nature helps to replenish their positive energy.

5. They Are Human Lie Detectors

Empaths have many different abilities when it comes to reading other people. They are excellent at detecting lies and can see through people’s’ “masks”, and reveal their true intentions.

6. They Give Too Much

Empaths are quick to help others, often at their own expense. Putting others first so often can cause them a lot of emotional trauma, and they shouldn’t ignore their own feelings for too long as they may overflow with unkempt emotions.

7. Highly Intuitive

Empaths have a very good intuition, and are able to make very important decisions based on just their gut feelings. They are very aware of the universe around them and are able to pick up on more than you may think.

8. They’re Easily Stressed

Empaths are easily stressed; they tend to feel common emotions so intensely that they are easily overwhelmed and stressed. If they try to tackle too many tasks at once, it can be very overwhelming and may even take a toll on their health.

9. Easily Taken Advantage Of

Not to say that empaths are weak, but because they are so understanding they are a target for manipulators. They know just what strings to pull to get their way and take advantage of empaths.

10. They Love Deeply

Empaths care about their loved ones and society with a true passion. They are very appreciative for all the people in their lives and tend to love very deeply. They are the most loyal lovers and some of the best friends you can ever have.

How To Protect Yourself If You Are An Empath

While being an empath can be a great gift, it can also be a heavy responsibility. It’s important for empaths to be able to handle their own emotions, not to mention the emotions of those around them. Here are a two key ways an empath can take care of their own well-being while still caring for others [2].

  • Look out for ‘psychopaths’, ‘sociopaths’, and narcissists. They have what scientists call  ‘empathy deficient disorders’ which means they lack the ability to feel empathy like other people do, which may be caused by an under-active mirror neuron system.
  • Research has shown that many people pick up the emotions of those around them, like how one crying baby can set off a ward of sleeping babies; this is called emotional contagion. What does this mean for empaths? Choose positive people in their lives so they’re not brought down by negativity. Or if a friend is going through a hard time, take special precautions to ground and center yourself before helping them.

To be an empath can be daunting and a huge responsibility, but to have the ability to help and heal others is also a great gift to share with the world.

Are You Experiencing Advanced Energy Shift Symptoms?

Energy shift symptoms have changed since last year for many people. As we undergo the beginning phase of a wave of energy like we have never felt before, the body has to adjust itself to be able to resonate with the frequency that Earth is receiving. Those who have been on the awakening path for a while are experiencing new symptoms with this new wave of energy.

Basic energy shift (ascension) symptoms included things like ringing in the ears, intense sweating, dizziness, forgetfulness, ascension flu, depression, and waves of nausea. It seems that most people who begin the shift into a higher frequency experience these same symptoms physically while their “team” helps them to begin to turn the dial up a little at a time in frequency.

Lately, many people are reporting a batch of similar advanced symptoms, meaning those that have already served their time with the basic symptoms they never thought would end are now experiencing a whole new phase.

Some symptoms in this new batch are:

  • extreme lethargy (feeling like you are drugged)
  • gut pain and bowel “explosions”
  • bad moods, when you are supposed to be “happy”
  • ravenous eating or no appetite at all (no normalcy with appetite)
  • no motivation to do anything but lie around
  • either sleeplessness or sleeping all of the time (not your average eight hours), off and on. Sometimes 3-4 hours of sleep is enough however the next week feeling like you need 12 hours.
  • sore throat
  • itchy skin or even breaking out in hives

Can you see how this ascension needed to evolve over what we know as linear time? When we agreed to this mission we knew that we wouldn’t be able to handle the energetic shifts all at once. It would have killed the physical body. If you’re like me, you have felt like you have died many times over in this lifetime already. It seems like it is taking forever, but as we look back at out own progress we can see just how far we have come.

Now that my basic energy shift symptoms have subsided after four solid years,  I’m not feeling the severity of the advanced symptoms. In other words, I chose to have four years of off and on adjustment vs. some people that get hit within a few months, every day. I have rarely ever had headaches in my life, but in the last month or two I have had very mild headaches. Some people are experiencing migraines.  These can be debilitating, and I suggest asking your guidance team to help adjust the severity so that you can at least function. Most of the time there is certain vitamin or mineral that your body is lacking that would help lessen the severity of this symptom.

I used to have horrible night sweats and hot flashes. These are not the menopause type, many men also experience this phase. Mine lasted for a few years off and on.  My body was detoxing through increased body temperature and sweating, and I had to have the temperature colder to feel more comfortable. Now, I actually feel cooler and rarely have one of these episodes.

I have had the extreme lethargy for a couple of months now, and can go up to two weeks with feeling like I have no motivation to do anything. It is very noticeable when this breaks, as all of the sudden I will have more ideas for articles than I can keep up with and more energy to do things.

The bowel explosions that some are experiencing start with severe abdominal cramps and then move to a big release in the bathroom. While this may be triggered by a certain food that you ate, it still is releasing stuck energy in more ways that one. Toxins accumulate in the bowel walls and these aren’t compatible in the new energies. Anger and negative emotions are also stored here. This area is also tied to the solar plexus which is really being affected at this time. So although you may chalk it up to something that you ate, somewhere subconsciously you were probably drawn to put that thing in your mouth so that you could move a lot of stuff out.

I have also experienced the ravenous eating. I’ve been craving certain foods and have been drawn towards grounding foods like organic potatoes. I have had to throw out the information I have learned about how starches turn directly to sugar in the body, which causes weight gain. I trust that my body knows what it needs in order to move through this phase. Organic eggs have also been a good source of protein for several months now, I don’t grow tired of them. I went through a period of having hash browned potatoes fried in avocado oil, scrambled eggs, and 1/2 of an avocado for breakfast for a couple of weeks. Some people would scream about the amount of fat in that meal, but overall, I have felt very satisfied by eating the weird combinations of foods that have popped into my mind lately.

If we really studied all of the various vitamins that the foods have that we are craving, we would realize why we get latched on to one thing and then move along to another obsession. It is important to break the programming about what diets are good for you  when your body directly tells you to eat this or that. I have experienced how I actually feel worse on a strict diet when moving through energy shift symptoms. I have noticed that if you give your body what it needs, the ascension symptoms can lessen over time. You still may experience some of them, but they could have been much worse.

All people will have different symptoms. You may or may not have these combinations of symptoms right now. If you do, then know that others are going through them too. If you aren’t experiencing symptoms of this caliber, don’t think that you aren’t on schedule! You may have even moved past the need for any of them. Or maybe you took such good care of your body that you aren’t going to need to experience many of these symptoms at all.

I have noticed that many people who grew up eating fast food like I did are having more trouble than others as the body detoxes from years of bad stuff. It’s important to know that everything is happening just the way it should. If you aren’t treating your body with respect and listening to what it would like, free from judgment, then some of your symptoms might be a bit extreme as it yells out to you to listen.

In the end, it’s all about vibration. We are now in a month where the waves of energy are stronger than we ever have felt before. All of the symptoms that you have felt in the past have prepared you for this time. We have literally done something that has never been done before in an ascension as we move through physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental detox all at the same time while staying in the body. Our consciousness level is increasing and our DNA is rearranging itself thanks to the source field waves we are receiving. When you look at what is happening right under our noses, energy shift symptoms seem to be well worth the discomfort.

5 Signs You’re Out of Spiritual Alignment

and Ways to Rejuvenate Your Connection

September 30th, 2017

By Nick Polizzi

Guest writer for Wake Up World

Do you ever get a nagging sensation that something is not quite right inside of you? I’m not talking about a kink in your neck or an upset stomach – this is deeper than that. Maybe it’s a limitation within yourself, or a lack of flow and direction where there once was an abundance.

Familiar with any of those?

Of course you are, because you’re human! If you didn’t encounter occasional slumps, I’d be worried that you had a screw loose.

Inhabiting these earthly bodies on this physical plane, it’s normal to sometimes feel out of alignment with who we truly are. Yes, it’s our responsibility to recalibrate and reconnect whenever we can, but it’s silly to beat ourselves up every time we fall out of the saddle.

The quote below illustrates how these minor setbacks are really an opportunity in disguise:

“Contrast allows us to see what is not in alignment with our Authentic Selves, and then presents us with opportunity after opportunity to respond from a place of compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, love, joy, gratitude, etc. Thus, when we break the karmic loop we swing back into alignment with Spirit.”

—Alaric Hutchinson, Living Peace

But sometimes this “karmic loop” isn’t so obvious to us – even when we’re entangled within it. We Homo sapiens have a habit of tricking ourselves into believing that we’re absolutely fine and it’s the world around us that is the problem.

Not to worry! We’ve got the antidote below.

Below are 5 ways you can tell when you’re out of spiritual alignment, and some possible solutions to rejuvenate your connection.

1. Fatigue

We all get tired, but this one goes bone deep. Your whole soul feels tired. This can happen when we are not living in alignment with our purpose, or when we are being inauthentic about something. These blind spots take a lot of life-force energy to compensate for, and you will likely feel a surge of energy once you begin to address and mend them. (By the way, we all have these – no shame allowed!)

Questions to consider:

  • Where am I being inauthentic?
  • What kinds of dreams am I having when I sleep?
  • Where can I honor my word by acknowledging where I’ve been out of integrity to myself or those close to me?

Suggestions to try:

  • Meditate or pray, and seek the answers within to discover your purpose or the hidden meanings in your dreamtime.
  • Take a walk, or try more vigorous exercise if you can. There’s nothing like getting into action to wake up and shake up old energy.
  • Recharge your spine. The spine is the axis of our being, and the best way to combat fatigue is to wake up our innermost beings. You can do this through a seated meditation pose, or through spinal rotations. Stand with your feet planted firmly on the ground, about hip-width apart, raise your straightened arms to shoulder-height, and then gently twist back and forth, from left to right. Try this for 1 to 3 minutes, and you should start feeling a little more enlivened.
  • Use essential oils in a diffuser. Try lemon for its refreshing quality, or rosemary to clear and enliven the mind.

2. Irregular Breathing

What does breath have to do with anything? Everything.

The English word for “spirit” comes from the Latin word “spiritus,” which means “breath.” Our connection to our breath is therefore very telling. Irregular breathing can mean anything from very shallow, to intermittent, or even heavy, which is different from relaxed deep breathing. This can be caused by a few different things, including anxiety, anger, and stress.

Questions to consider:

  • Where in my life am I holding onto fear, anger or resentment?
  • Where in my body do I feel tension?
  • What parts of myself are in need of personal attention?

Suggestions to try:

  • If you discover you have anger, forgive. Forgive deeply and completely. For some help with this – here is a great 9 step guide we found from Berkeley University on how to forgive.
  • Experiment with 4-7-8 Rhythmic Breathing. With your body relaxed, inhale deeply into your belly for a count of 4; hold your breath for a count of 7; exhale for a count of 8 at which point your lungs should be completely emptied of air. Repeat for a few rounds.
  • For those holding on to stress or anxiety, nourish yourself with an Epsom salts bath and essential oils. The salts contain magnesium, which have a soothing and calming effect. Similarly, essential oils can induce wonderful effects. Try lavender (soothing and calming), geranium (promotes cheerfulness and prevents the mental downward spiral), fennel (for self-compassion), frankincense (relaxation), or eucalyptus (to promote respiratory circulation).

3. Difficulty Concentrating

We live in a society where we are overwhelmed and overcommitted, more often to things we don’t even really, authentically care about. Many of us chase so many “shiny” objects in a given day that we’re left feeling scattered and somewhat directionless. You may be truly excited about all of the things you’re up to, but have a simple problem of math — there are not enough hours in the day.

Questions to consider:

  • Where am I overcommitted?
  • What is my highest priority today, this week, this month, this year?
  • Where in my day can I create more space for myself to just be?

Suggestions to try:

  • Protect your time. It’s precious and often times squandered away.
  • Put things into existence on a calendar or a project management app.
  • Try a visualization meditation. Create 50-minute “productivity blocks” for each working hour. Then take short breaks for 5 to 10 minutes and visualize from beginning to end how your next hour will go. If you can’t do this each hour, maybe try a morning meditation at the beginning of each work day, and visualize your most powerful day.
  • Apply a drop of peppermint oil by rubbing into each of your temples. Peppermint promotes concentration and focus.

4. Sadness, Depression

Loss is often the culprit here. Loss of a loved one, loss of a friendship, loss of a pet, or a job, or child custody, or a home. Perhaps you’re feeling a loss of power, or loss of your youth, or your health. When we deconstruct our sadness or depression, we often find fear. Fear of being alone, fear of abandonment, and the ultimate — fear of death.

Questions to consider:

  • Where in my body am I holding onto grief?
  • What do I feel I’ve lost?
  • What shadow do I possess that I refuse to acknowledge?

Suggestions to try:

  • Develop a gratitude practice. Gratitude is the antidote for both anger or sadness. Begin making a daily list of 5 to 10 things you’re grateful for, and watch how beautiful the world suddenly becomes.
  • If you’re really daring, send a heartfelt note to someone you do not like and perhaps you’ll witness a miracle.
  • Try a couple of drops of grapefruit essential oil mixed into a glass of drinking water. Grapefruit promotes positivity and joy. (Make sure the essential oils you’re using are consumable. They will have nutritional information listed on their vials to indicate edibility.)

5. Irritability

When your nerves are on alert, imbalance is typically the culprit here, and more often than not this has to do with the precarious balance of chemicals in our bodies. Maintaining proper nutrition, hydration, energetic, and hormone balances are key.

Questions to consider:

  • How much caffeine, sugar, or alcohol am I consuming?
  • How much do I sleep at night?
  • Am I maintaining a healthy weight and a healthy diet?
  • How fulfilling is my sex life?

Suggestions to try:

  • Add more leafy greens, root vegetables, and fruits to your diet.
  • Increase hydration – drink 100 oz of water each day.
  • Consider cutting way back—or even eliminating—caffeine, refined sugar, and alcohol from your diet for a week or two, and see if you notice a difference in your mood.
  • Try the following essential oils for balancing hormones: clary sage, sandalwood, or thyme.
  • Practice an eye-gazing meditation with a romantic partner while seated in yab-yum. The physical touch balances erratic energy, and the eye-gazing itself will take you deeper inside yourself—and your lover—far away from the surface where the commotion is.

Final Thoughts

Our bodies are the proverbial temples where our spirits reside, yet we all too often ignore our own sacred spaces. Getting back in touch with who we truly are, and nurturing ourselves can revitalize our own mind-body-spirit connections.

But don’t take my word for it; try some of these for yourself. And remember, we are ALL connected.

You May Have Successfully Merged Your Darkness and Light

If You Experience Any of These 15 Signs You Have Successfully Merged Your Darkness and Light

Much like the world cannot operate without ‘day’ and ‘night’, we too are given to darkness and light. You cannot survive by forsaking either one. In order to find calm, we must arrive at equilibrium. No human being can ever be completely evil, or completely good.

Through out our lives we are forced to choose a single path; either black or white. But sometimes, the gray is necessary.

For example: When you lose an opportunity, instead of breaking down, try understanding the possible reasons why it happened. Maybe something better is in store for you. Maybe that experience would’ve led you to harm. Defeat also teaches you a lot about who you are. Listen, and learn.

  1. You and your partner can happily co-exist. Your relationship isn’t one of resignation, or hatred. The friendship you share is very strong.
  2. Once you are a balanced human being, it begins to reflect in your surroundings. So, your bonds with other people mature too.
  3. You lose your sense of superiority. No longer an egomaniac, you operate a lot more calmly.
  4. Your goals have changed. This mostly happens because you understand the superficiality of certain things that erstwhile seemed important.
  5. Scapegoat-ing is not your forte. You are introspective when you face obstacles. All the answers lie within.
  6. The thing about understanding this world is that you lose your capability of being mean. When you see the amount of suffering that your fellow humans have undergone, you start preaching kindness.
  7. Somehow, you have identified with the latent energy that courses through all our veins. So, you can interact with people at a more personal level, without seeming intrusive.
  8. You find rainbows in broken shards of glass. You choose to see the goodness in all humans, instead of harping on the negativity. The gloom of this world cannot overpower you.
  9. You do not fear facing yourself, or anybody else for that matter. You are a responsible human being, and own up to whatever you choose to do. You do not hide behind a shadow of pretense or escapism. This is your life, and you are in control.
  10. You have made peace with your demons. They do not haunt you anymore. It is only when we run away from the truth of our own selves, that they get a stronger grip on us.
  11. You do not partake in make-believe. Cheap entertainment in the form of films, parties, etc, does not call out to you. You have risen above that need.
  12. You notice the birds of fortitude and coincidence. Even if life does not come to you in the form of mathematical equations, you are more perceptive to the meaning behind the events in your life.
  13. You think of the Earth fondly. The trees, the meadows, the flowers, all call out to your being. You find peace amidst the natural environment.
  14. Your perspective of life has changed drastically. You do not look at people or things the same way anymore.
  15. Holding a grudge isn’t your cup of tea. You understand human beings much better now and therefore let go of anger much more efficiently. It is but human to err.

Spiritual Warriors

Spiritual Warriors – Forerunners – Empaths – First Wavers

by Anastacia,
Australian Correspondent, In5D.com

We are the forerunners that have been working so diligently and hard behind the scenes of humanity…the layer below.

Transmuting through our human emotions and bodies through experience and some for a while now.

Blue Rays, Indigos, Starseeds and more

We are the quiet ones (internally) that felt so much and deeply from a young age yet we were not heard and many of us went within into our own silent worlds or a world of escapism, what ever that was for each of us….to cope.

We endured so much as we were transmuting for not only ourselves but our families and humanity.

MASKS

We learnt different methods that were unique for each of us to cope and many of us wore masks to ‘fit in’ and function, while deep inside we knew we were ‘different’.

Many of us needed to resort to operating from our ‘heads/ego’ to cope as that was the only way of coping and surviving…until NOW.

As we are so powerful and didn’t know it and didn’t know how to handle it and others saw it and took advantage of this.

WE ARE AT THE ‘COAL FACE’

We are not ‘out there’ or on the ‘world stage’ as others….as humanity was not ready for us (and no we don’t need to be on the ‘world stage’ necessarily…that is just a comment as to being visible in the world).

We have been at the ‘coal face’ – the ‘underground movement’ – ‘the front line’ of transmuting the energies through our personal experiences…and many of us have faced some of the deepest and hardest trials.

Which all have been necessary for our souls growth and humanities collective growth.

Yet we are not as ‘seen’ as others who are sharing and writing and channelling messages.

LINKING THE LAYER ABOVE TO THE LAYER BELOW

Those energies have their place and purpose in humanities Ascension, yet we are needing to link the ‘layer above’ to the ‘layer below’…the spirit to the human being, to be whole and balanced and through our EMOTIONS….and this is where many of us come into play.

As now our time is very much HERE…as many of us have waited a very long time for this…and there is much unconditional love for all those who have shared and channeled all they have…but there is more…and we are the ‘more’.

GOING SOLO FOR SO LONG

There are so many of us forerunners and first wavers that have being doing it ‘solo’ for a long time and now there is no need to.

It is time for us to come out and shine out lights and be our TRUE selves…and to re-connect.

Yet this can take a little time as we have been inside ourselves for a long time and it can take a little for one to grow into their power and ‘come out’ so-to-speak.

‘Ascension cannot be Rushed Fooled or Cheated’…no matter who a soul is or what their souls purpose is here….we ultimately chose to come and have a human experience through our emotions to grow and learn on our souls ascension journey.

As our emotions is where our POWER lays….our so called ‘weaknesses’ from others or vulnerability is our actual Strength!

FROM WITHIN – THE LAYER BELOW

The top layer of information can only go so far…as the rest is the ‘internal’ the ‘layer below’.

As that is what has been missing in all the posts I read and the seminars and talks and so on.

And so it is time to fill that ‘gap’ to give the rest of the picture of all that is being shared.

I am here as an Ascended Master experiencing and growing with you…at the ‘coal face’….in being very real through experiencing through myself…and sharing an ongoing update of the energies coming to our planet that is not written anywhere else…a guide to humanities ascension, through the core of my soul from personal experience.

I am here for those souls that resonate to this post and are ready to let you know you are not alone and there is support in unconditional love, truth and honesty.

BEING THE LIGHT

We need to be the light in all we do and are.

And not allow ourselves to get dragged back into others’ energy…as this is challenging for those that are in contact with/working with other souls.

INTEGRATION INTO 5D TAKES TIME!

As we are in an integration process into the 5D and this takes time and is facet by facet.

As souls are saying that we can now feel instantly this energy and yes it is here and it can be felt at our souls core most definitely and I have written past posts on this…yet the Integration takes time!

And is it so wonderful that we are so lovingly supported by above now more than ever, the relief is here!

Many souls are just realizing this bit by bit as it takes time to integrate….as ‘knowing and experiencing are worlds apart’…so as souls are experiencing they are finding they are clearer and in new spaces and while we still need to do what our souls need to, IT IS EASIER NOW.

WE ARE LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER WHILE IN OUR OWN ENERGY

As this is where we are learning our lessons through interaction with other souls.

As we are unable to do this alone…we are needing our spiritual soul group and families.

And we are needing to talk and table how we are FEELING for our CONSCIOUSNESS to release and grow….this part is vital to our souls Ascension!.

PROTECTION AND REMOVING NEGATIVE ENERGIES/ENTITIES

So remember to put yourself in your own bubble and then put a distance between you and others to give you and your energy some space.

We need to do the cut cord and protection methods (prev BB) regularly as we are of light….and this attracts the darker energies/those energies that are needing to be in the light….as they are needing to transmute and are drawn to the light (separate post coming on this as there is much ‘illusion’ going on in the upper realms).

‘ME FIRST IN AN UNSELFISH WAY’

But we are no longer here to take others energies on or transmute for others directly as we actually are not able to anymore.

Instead we do this indirectly by focusing on ourselves firstly…by FEELING within…then all else flows out to the outer/others.

And in this way we empower ourselves and this allows others the opportunity to empower themselves.

MANY SOULS ARE LEAVING

As this is survival time – literally now…as can be seen around the world near you or on the media.

Souls are going, moving on, checking out…and that is because it is their time to go from the human…as the soul continues learning and growing when it leaves our physical body…it doesn’t end here.

Yet we are still here…as we have more to do within ourselves for the greater good and the collective…and on ALL levels, not just ours.

SPIRITUAL WARRIORS

We are the Spiritual Warriors and it is our time to be heard and seen.

This is slowly happening now as more and more souls are coming out to me now and relating and resonating and finding that they are not alone.

We need to unite in unconditional love…that we all have something to share and bring to humanity…through ourselves.

And it can take a while to ‘work’ out or grow into what that is…and thats okay as that is part of the learning and growing…you know, the journey ;-).

But you being who you are right now is just beautiful and ‘perfect’ as we are ‘perfect in our imperfections’….as all is as it is meant to be.

THANK YOU!

So thank you for all your soul has endured this lifetime and it has not been for ‘nothing’…as it has not been unseen or not noticed by above.

As humanity would not be where they are without all those souls that have been transmuting for how ever long…as really it does not matter for how long as it is not a competition as we are all in this together and all have different roles to ‘play’.

As we walk by ourselves on our own personal journeys while holding hands.

It is very much time for the ‘unseen to be seen’….the layer below, to rise up and shine and come forth.

As we are what we have been missing and waiting for.

And it is our time to receive the ‘abundance’ which comes in many forms…as we have so very much earned it.

As always I am right here with you.

Much Unconditional Love, Truth and Honesty
